Here is what he said about this photo:
Dec 13/06 this is Gary
Heeter form Bend, Oregon with nice 42 pound Salmon caught on a
fly on the Sixes River on Friday of last week. We did well all
of that week. As of now the river is out of shape but we still
have till the end of December so there will be some more time to
get fish form the Elk and Sixes. As for Steelhead here in
Roseburg, there are some fish being caught, depending on water
conditions. Thanks to
Gary Lewis Guide Service for this photo.

Big Double!
The biggest double that I have ever
landed. The male fish on the left weighed 22 lbs and the
female on the right weighed 14 1/2 lbs, we released both
of these fish to keep the Umpqua's strain of fish big
and strong. Photo taken 3-1-2005

Umpqua River fishing guides catch more fish
because they know the area. Southern Oregon coastal rivers offer
more action and less crowding.
